Idea
The video "Light" quietly tells of two people getting to know each other. They meet in winter, on a cold street and in a big empty hall, and after that meeting it feels warmer all around. The feelings in the video are never spoken aloud, space and light carry them.
Visual language
Most of it was filmed at the Herzen Library. The frame gets plenty of air there, and tall windows, white curtains, long tables and card catalogues create strict symmetry. Set against this are dark scenes lit with purple neon and a room with a projector, where the picture lands straight on the characters. The whole video is carried by the contrast between the cold winter and the warm light inside.
Production
Ustinya Araslanova and Shakhlar Mamedov act in it. Alexander Shikhalev did the lighting, Ivan Pesternikov did the sound design, the beat is by AYO ENVY, and SKVAZHINA handled the mix.
The video was published on Prominal's channel in May 2022, and it has over 4 thousand views.
