Idea
Hurricane is conceived not as an ordinary video but as a short crime story. It has an armed squad, a suitcase of money, night meetings by cars and a gym, and it all ends on a concrete floor. Prominal's music plays as the soundtrack to a story with a setup, tension and an ending.
Visual language
The video is almost entirely set at night. Headlights, street lamps and smoke provide the light, it comes from behind and turns out harsh, so faces emerge from the darkness. Filming from below makes the characters look more massive and more dangerous. The single bright scene in the red room acts as a flash before the showdown.
Production
I wrote the script and directed it. Actors played the parts, and we shot at several locations: in a gym, on night streets and in a room with red light.
Alexander Shikhalev produced it, and SKVAZHINA recorded and mixed the track. The premiere took place in November 2022 on Prominal's channel.
